HER STORY

Her Faith Started the Story

Dora Annie Caulker (April 20, 1956 - August 6, 2024) was more than the inspiration behind our name. Her life is the reason this organization exists.

Dora’s life story was about transformation and it inspired us all. Before surrendering her life to Jesus, she struggled with alcoholism and had an imperfect past growing up and living most of her life in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This was a chapter of her life she later spoke about openly as part of her testimony. In Freetown, Sierra Leone she faced severe poverty, displacement, and many other challenges people face living in 3rd world countries.

Eventually, Dora came to the United States to be with her family who immigrated here, and she had an encounter with Jesus Christ where her life was forever changed. She found freedom from alcoholism and on March 29th, 2008 Dora publicly declared herself as a follower of Jesus through Baptism.
